A simple guide to understanding the Bible
Let's be honest. The Bible is complex. It's intricate. It can be daunting. The first half is confusing, aside from the stories you might have learned in Sunday school . . . which are far more disturbing today than when you read them as a kid. Then Jesus appears, and while it's amazing to read about his birth, and teachings, and wisdom, and miracles, it can cause you to wonder why he had to die for you. The final pages of the Bible are even more perplexing. Suddenly, you're reading about visions, and beasts, and the very end of the world.
Perhaps this is why many of us find it easier to go to church and just listen to the pastor preach a sermon on the "good book" rather than tackle it ourselves. But if we do this, we miss out on so much. God has given us the Bible as a how-to guide for making the most out of life. The Bible should be our lifeline. We need to study it as much as we need to breathe!
This is where The Bible, Simplified can help. Over the course of eight weeks, bestselling author Zach Windahl will show you how all the stories in the Bible tell an interwoven story of God using people to bring his kingdom to the world. You will dig into historical context, learn about the different genres in the Bible (and why they are important), and discover proven methods of studying the Bible that will help you not only better understand what it means but also how it can transform your life and deepen your relationship with Christ.
God is calling you today to follow him. And he wants to speak to you through the Bible!

The Audio Bible Studies series provides a unique audio learning experience. These sessions will reflect the ambiance of the unique recording locations, immersing the listener into the teaching. While not required for the audio experience, these studies are designed to partner with the coordinating study guide, sold separately.
